Settings

When the DxSpot application is first launched, you will be promped to enter applicaion settings.  The only mandatory data to be entered is your call sign. DX clusters will not allow connection without a valid Amateur radio call sign.

      

Enter your call sign in the CallSign field..

If the cluster you connect to requires a logon password, enter it in the cluster Password Field.  NOTE the entered password will be used for all clusters.

The Forget last cluster button erases any prior cluster connection parameters. 

If you subscribe to QRZ.com XML logbook data, enter you logon credentials in the UserName and Password fields.

If you subscribe to HamQTH XML callbook search, enter you logon credentials in the UserName and Password fields.

Tap the < Cluster button to continue.

 

 

Using the Settings App

The Setting application can be optionally used to enter your call sign, optional cluster logon password, QRZ.com and HamQTH credentials.  The only mandatory data to be entered is your call sign. DX clusters will not allow connection without a valid Amateur radio call sign.

Setting your call sign

To set your call sign start the Settings application. Scroll down and tap the DxSpot icon.

 

When the DxSpot setting is displayed enter required parameters.

      

Enter your call sign in the MyCallSign field..

If the cluster you connect to requires a logon password, enter it in the cluster Password Field.  NOTE the entered password will be used for all clusters.

 Cluster connection parameters can be changed here but it is not recomended. Cluster parmeters should be set from the Cluster selection display.

If you subscribe to QRZ.com XML logbook data, enter you logon credentials in the UserName and Password fields.

If you subscribe to HamQTH XML callbook search, enter you logon credentials in the UserName and Password fields.

Tap the <Settings button in the upper left corner to complete data entry.
