Log Book Display

The LogBook tab displays an overview of your contacts. Contacts are grouped by date.

Each row of the table consists of two lines containing the following information.
  1. Line one contains the contact call sign and DXCC country flag
  2. Line two displays the contact time, frequency, band and mode
From this display you can perform the following:
  • tap the row or tap the button to display contact entry display
  • tap the button to enter a new contact
  • tab the upper right  button to display additional help
 

Log Book Entry

The Log Book Entry contains the details of a contact. The log book entry is displayed when the following occurs:

  • a DX spot is tapped from the DX table
  • a new contact is created from the Log Book display
  • a contact is tapped from the Log Book display

The log book entry contains the following data fields: 

  1. DXCC flag and country name
  2. Map showing your current location, DX location and great circle path
  3. Distance and Bearing to the DX station
  4. Contact call sign
  5. Frequency
  6. Mode
  7. Time On
  8. Time Off
  9. RST sent and received
  10. Operator Name
  11. DXCC country, Zones and Continent (automatically set based upon call sign)
  12. QSL information
  13. Contact comment
  14. TX Power (100 watts default)
  15. SOTA ID
  16. Current Grid Square
  17. Current Lat/Lon

If you entered your QRZ.COM credentials on the setup page then the following data fields are automatically filled in:

  1. QSL information
  2. QTH
  3. IOTA
  4. DX Station Grid Square
  5. DX Station Lat/Lon
  6. Distance and bearing from your current location to the DX
  7. Contact eMail address
  8. Mailing address line 1 and line 2
  9. Country
  10. County
  11. State (US only)

QSL tracking data fields:

  1. QSL Sent/Received
  2. LOTW QSL Sent/Received
  3. eQSO Sent/Received

All data fields can be edited. Tap the "Tap to Log Contact" button to save the entry in the log book.

If you edit any field, you must save your changes. The save button changes to "Update Contact" .

Tap the LogBook back button to cancel the log entry update and return to the log book overview display.

Add a new contact

Tap the button to manually add a new contact.


Enter the DX CallSign. After the call sign has been entered, the distance and bearing is calculated and displayed. In addition, if your QRZ.COM credentials have been entered, the DX station is looked up and the log book fields are automatically filled in.

Enter or Edit the data fields then tap the Save Contact button. Data fields can be edited but make sure you save your changes.

Tap the < LogBook  button to either cancel an unsaved entry or just return to the log book overview display,

Tap the button on the CallSign row to display the QRZ.COM lookup page.

Tap the button on the DXCC row to display the DXCC Entity page and show bands and mode worked, confirmed and granted.
